What friable asbestos removal in Central Coast actually involves

The removalist seals the work area off from the rest of the house and the property, and air monitoring checks the removal method is working. Central Coast Council's own line is that any friable asbestos must be removed by a qualified asbestos removalist and cannot be removed by the homeowner.

Before you move back in

An independent asbestos assessor issues the clearance certificate for friable work, and the site stays empty until it does. Keep the certificate with the disposal receipt.

Loose-fill asbestos is raw crushed friable asbestos, used as ceiling insulation in some NSW homes in the 1960s and 1970s. If you think it is in your ceiling, do not go into the ceiling space: call a licensed asbestos assessor. The state register lists only homes that tested positive, so an address missing from it proves nothing.
